Progressive Practices
The Department aims to further interaction with the industry by arranging technical visits, conducting seminars and short term courses, undertaking more consultancy assignments and research projects based on its needs. Presently, the Civil and Structural departments have a good association with the MMRDA, MSRDC, CPWD, IWWA, CEPRC, MTNL, municipal corporations in neighboring areas and many consultants in the areas of Geotechnical, Transportation, Environmental and Structural engineering. It is proposed to include more industries in this list. The Civil Engineering Association organizes Nirmiti, an annual two-day national level technical symposium.
